We are so happy and excited to report that our very own Coffee Bean is in the process of bonding with Goblin, her new bunmate. Coffee Bean came to us from an abusive situation. She was a timid and nervous little bunny. Over time, she started to get a little more brave and when she had time outside of her enclosure area, she felt less nervous. We recently were contacted by Goblin’s Mom looking to find Goblin a new companion. Goblin and his Mom came to Special Bunny Rabbit Rescue for a meet and greet and bunny date. This initial date went well enough for Coffee Bean to go home with Goblin and continue the bonding process. As with any dating situation, there has been a slow progression but each day it is getting better and better. They have even gotten in a few licks to one another. The bonding process can take time and patience and we are so happy that Goblin’s Mommy is putting in the time and effort and showing Coffee Bean that she is safe and loved. We are thrilled with the progress she is making. Based on the photos it is apparent she is growing more and more at ease in her new home and environment. Adopting a bunny is a truly rewarding and fulfilling act of love. Bunnies provide so much love and made such wonderful pets. The bonding process of bringing a new bunny into your home is not always a “love at first sight” one and done situation. Some do take time and effort, but it is so worth it! Bunnies thrive with a companion and live a much more enriched life. If you have a single bunny, please consider adopting a new companion for them. Not only will you be providing your special bunny with a furever friend, but you will also be providing a forever loving home to a bunny in need. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting a bunny either for your single bunny or to provide a loving new home to one of our adoptable bunnies, please reach out to us and we would be thrilled to assist you. We also always are looking for fosters for our bunnies as well. If you are not ready to commit to adoption but want to foster a bunny we can provide you with that information as well.
